Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Melbourne Designer Brows ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information, and how you can contact us about it.
Last updated 22 October 2026
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address when you book, enquire or contact us.
- Your appointment details, such as the service, studio, date, time and price.
- Health information that is relevant to your treatment, such as what you tell us on consultation and consent forms. We only collect this with your consent and only use it to provide your treatment safely.
- Before and after photos, only with your consent.
- Information about how you use this website, collected through cookies and tags (see below).
Online bookings are made through our booking provider, Fresha, which handles the information you enter under its own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use your information to manage your bookings and treatments, contact you about your appointments, answer your enquiries, improve our services and website, and measure and improve our advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising measurement with Meta and Google
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram (run by Meta) and on Google. To understand which of our ads lead to real bookings, we may share limited booking information with Meta and Google.
What we share. When you book with us after clicking or seeing one of our ads, we may share:
- a hashed version of your email address and/or phone number. Hashing scrambles the details with a one-way process before they leave us, so the original details are not sent; and
- the time of your booking and its value.
We never share your name, your health information or details of your treatment for this purpose.
Why. Meta and Google match the hashed details against their own account records. This lets us measure which ads lead to bookings, and helps show our ads to people who are likely to be interested in our services.
Who receives it. Meta Platforms and Google. Both may store and process this information overseas, including in the United States. Their handling of it is also covered by their own privacy policies.
How to opt out.
- Email us at info@mdbrows.com.au and ask us not to share your booking details for advertising measurement. We will stop sharing your details from then on.
- Change how Meta uses information about you for ads in your Meta ad preferences.
- Change how Google personalises ads for you in Google My Ad Center.
Cookies, pixels and tags
This website uses Google tags (including Google Analytics) and may use the Meta pixel. These are small pieces of code that use cookies or similar technology to record visits and actions on our website, such as clicking through to book, so we can understand how the site is used and measure our advertising.
When you first visit, you can accept or decline cookies using the banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and use the Meta and Google ad settings above. Some parts of the site may not work as well if cookies are blocked.
Overseas disclosure
Apart from the advertising measurement described above, some of the services we use to run our business (such as our booking, email and website providers) may store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing info@mdbrows.com.au or calling 0418 188 277. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. You can also contact us with any questions.
